Last Day of 2015 and New Year's Resolutions for 2016

It's been almost two years since I've posted anything worth anyone's while in this blog but it's been one hell of a year, with ups and downs.

Let's start with the work life first: I got to work for a few months at start-ups, and got experience in watching companies build themselves up. Granted my stay had been shorter but various reasons, It's been one of those years when jobs have been a mixed bag of employment and experiences. I even got experience as a blogger/writer for a company, which I will always be grateful for. I've been planning on writing for a living, or at least until I can find something more stable in the accounting front.

Over the latter half of the year, I've started to study for the CPA again, and I discovered a very interesting tip to keep myself focused: blogging about it. Habits and routines are essential for a person like me, something to ground my mind. So yes, this is my life blog as well as my professional one, chronicling my way into the test in February. I've set that as my end goal and that's what I will do.

On January 3, God willing, I will be taking the simulation test, though I debate how well I will do since the holidays unfocused me so much that it's been hard to return to form. Then again, if the goal is February, I can't keep holding it off.

Artistically, I've hit a sort of slump but that can be changed around as I will be doodling/drawing/painting once a day to keep that skill set active.

For those who still read this blog, I also have a start-up horror discussion blog that will be updated once a week (every Friday) named Restless Dreams and Machinations. In there I hope to refine my researching and content creation skills as well as provide commentary on the various aspects that this genre has to offer. What plans await in there? Read the blog to find out.

I wish you all a happy 2016 and may it be a year of successes and triumphs!

att. Swattie.
